The blog of a Western in 30 days

Starting July 8, 2013, I will attempt to put Nik Morton’s new book, Write a Western in 30 days, to practical use. Here are the initial instructions.

Day 1
Decide on the location and date of the story.
Write a plot plan
Create main characters

I will report the first day’s work at the end of the day, July 8, 2013 JST, which is tomorrow.

Just one thing. The book will be the 3rd of the Stryker series from Piccadilly Publishing. The photo below is the cover of the 1st Stryker novel.

See ya tomorrow with the first report.

  1. You've got your work cut out for you this month.

  2. Truer words were never spoken. Fortunately, Nik has said the 30 days don't have to be consecutive (I sometimes have a full day writing copy for clients).

  3. I love this idea. Once I finish my current, longer WIP, I plan on doing this kind of thing. Will keep an eye on your progress.
